where poetry meets photography.
My creative writing journey started in the 6th grade, when I developed the habit to write poems on a weekly basis as a way to express my thoughts and feelings.
Since poetry and creative writing was my way of journaling my life, I was hesitant to publish my work. I only shared my work on Instagram and, occasionally, Facebook. To this day, Instagram is still the main platform that I use to post my pieces.
I also started a more portfolio-based account on Instagram called "wordvomit.etc". The account, inspired by a found poem I wrote, is a more curated platform where I selectively post my poetry and photography work.
For many of my poems, especially the ones published under the "wordvomit.etc" account, the photos accompanying the poems are crucial, too. They add to the meaning, or help with the interpretation.
